The Tap Room, a destination of great experiences…
Relax and enjoy one of the best indoor/outdoor environments
in Christchurch. With all the Monteiths beers available, the
unique Stonegrill experience and friendly, professional staff
you’re assured of lasting memories.
The Tap Room has been operating since October 2001,
establishing itself as one of New Zealand’s premium locations.
Set on the banks of the Avon River and centrally located in the
heart of the city.
The Tap Room is the first Monteiths hand crafted bar/restaurant
in New Zealand, and attempts to capture the feel of rustic New
Zealand with its use of raw materials such as copper, exposed
beams, granite, marble and open fires.
Each of the Monteiths beers are made using open vat and top
layer fermentation, without the use of preservatives, and quality
controlled by the brew master. Each beer is based on an
international style and there is also a seasonal beer available
on tap exclusive to The Tap Room for each of the seasons.
Inside we have the ability to seat 60 people comfortably, and
90 outside, providing full table service for food and beverage.
We have an extensive wine list, with a focus on wines from
New Zealand and its different regions. Most wines are available
by the glass, allowing our guests the opportunity to experience
the variations from wine districts.
You can enjoy your night with 70’s and 80’s music, adult
cliental, friendly professional bartenders and an extensive
range of local and international beers, wines and spirits.
